Project - The Post Office. Waratah, Tasmania
A lovingly restored heritage-listed building transformed into a luxury escape.
The Post Office, a meticulously restored 1913 heritage-listed building, has been transformed into a romantic escape in Waratah, Tasmania, accommodating up to four guests. It's conveniently situated across from the picturesque Waratah Waterfall, offering breathtaking views from every window.
Preserving its historic charm, this unique retreat retains original features such as high tin ceilings, arched sash windows, and the original cedar post office counter. To create a warm and inviting ambiance, some of the lights from Fat Shack Vintage were thoughtfully incorporated into the decor.
The original post office counter has been ingeniously repurposed into an island bench in the well-equipped kitchen. Complemented by the classic style of the Black Loft Pendant Light from Fat Shack Vintage. This steel-made lighting solution with a black finish adds a timeless touch to this home.
Contrasts against a white panel and cedar wall in the bedroom are the modern industrial wall lamps. Its swivel point offers practical versatility for bedroom lighting and its matt black brass shade providing a stylish aesthetic. Keeping the relaxed feel of the space without disrupting the stunning views of Happy Valley and the Tarkine rainforest.
Whether you're revamping a classic home or modernising with a vintage-inspired aesthetic, Fat Shack Vintage has lighting solutions to suit every style and requirement.
