What is Afterpay?

We understand that from time-to-time, unexpected expenses may come up. That’s why at Fat Shack Vintage we’re proud to offer Afterpay on our website. Afterpay is a flexible payment option that allows you to enjoy your shopping now and pay it off in 4 fortnightly interest-free instalments. And, best of all, you’ll receive your order straightaway!

How does Afterpay work?

During checkout, simply choose Afterpay as your payment method. You’ll be redirected to the Afterpay website to process your payment. If you are using Afterpay for the first time, you’ll need to create an account and provide your payment details. If you already have an account, simply login, follow the prompts and get shopping!

What products are ineligible for Afterpay?

Afterpay is available on online orders up to $1,000, so order values above this amount are unable to be processed via Afterpay.

What do you need to know?

To use Afterpay, you will need:

• To live in Australia Be over 18 years of age
• Provide a valid and verifiable email address and mobile number
• Provide an Australian credit or debit card with sufficient funds; and,
• Understand and acknowledge that you are entering into a legally binding contract.

Does it cost anything to use Afterpay?

You pay nothing extra to use Afterpay when you pay on time. During checkout, Afterpay will provide you with a payment schedule for 4 fortnightly interest-free instalments. You will also receive payment reminders via email and SMS.
If you make repayments on time, you’ll only ever pay the price of the item you’ve purchased. If a payment is due but has not been received by Afterpay, late payment fees will apply. Late fees start from $10, increase in weekly increments of $7, are capped at 25% of the order value, and are never more than $68.

When do I pay for my order?

If you’ve set up an Afterpay account for the first time, you’ll make your first instalment at the time of purchase. For future orders, your first payment will occur one fortnight from the order date. And, if the order total is above $500, you will need to make the first instalment straightaway. A payment schedule will always be emailed to you by Afterpay after successfully submitting your order.

Returns & refunds

Items can be returned and refunded in accordance with the Fat Shack Vintage 60-day Returns Policy.
